Ryan Hansen is the executive director of Avera Research Institute, and president and CEO of Alumend, LLC, both based in Sioux Falls, SD.
With over 17 years of health care and research management experience, Ryan is motivated by working with multidisciplinary teams to transform health care through disruptive technologies and applications. Through diverse roles, he enjoys developing and driving strategic objectives for several rewarding, yet challenging programs. This includes the advancement of science and integration of genetics within clinical practice through personalized medicine initiatives at the Avera Institute for Human Genetics, development and commercialization programs with a platform technology that has the ability to revolutionize many areas of medicine where there are currently unmet needs at Alumend, LLC, and facilitating innovative ideas and new therapies through clinical research at the Avera Research Institute.
Ryan earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and health and hospital services administration from Augustana University in Sioux Falls.
