Venita Chandra

Venita Chandra, M.D., FACS

Dr. Chandra is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Stanford. In addition, she is the medical director of the Stanford Advanced Wound Center, and the program director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship and Vascular Surgery Residency Programs. She is also the founder of the Stanford Extremity Preservation Program (StEPP).

Dr. Chandra received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker school of medicine. She completed her residency and internship at Stanford University in general surgery. She is a graduate of the Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship program. She went on to complete the Stanford Vascular Surgery Fellowship. She is double boarded in general and vascular surgery.

Dr. Chandra is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery within which she holds several leadership positions, is on the board of directors for the multidisciplinary not-for-profit Vascular InterVentional Advances (VIVA) and serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Vascular Surgery.
