Julie Logan has more than 20 years of experience in the cardiovascular field conducting clinical trials, developing cutting-edge cardiovascular products and performing complex coronary, vascular and structural interventions. She previously served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Foundation for Cardiovascular Medicine, an organization dedicated to clinical research and education. As a private consultant, Logan has personally patented and developed a variety of cardiovascular devices including, new stent designs, heart valves, peripheral vascular disease, vascular closure and brachytherapy, to name a few. She assisted in the development, design and execution of the first peripheral vascular stent to obtain a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) indication in the lower extremities. Logan was also instrumental in the device design, protocol development and execution of the first mitral valve repair technology and led the way to establishing the first hybrid operating room to conduct structural heart procedures. She is a recognized world leader in cardiovascular education, participating as the director, co-director or faculty member at many worldwide cardiovascular conferences.
